What is Zelle®?

Zelle® is a fast, safe and easy way to send and receive money with friends, family and others you trust. Money moves directly between eligible U.S. bank accounts, typically within minutes.

Who can I send money to with Zelle®?

You can send money to people you know and trust who have an eligible account at a participating U.S. financial institution.

What information do I need to send money?

You typically need the recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile phone number.

Can I cancel a payment?

You may only be able to cancel a payment if the recipient has not yet enrolled with Zelle®. If the recipient is already enrolled, the money is typically sent directly to their bank account within minutes and usually cannot be canceled.

Should I use Zelle® to buy items from someone I do not know?

No. Use Zelle® only with people and businesses you know and trust. It should not be used to send money to strangers or unknown sellers.

Do I need a Midwest Bank account to use Zelle® through Midwest Bank?

Yes. You must have an eligible Midwest Bank account and access to Midwest Bank’s digital banking to use Zelle® through Midwest Bank.
